My Teaching philosophy

Whether playing or listening, music is an integral part of the human experience. I believe music is for everyone and learning to play an instrument can be a deeply satisfying and enjoyable experience. I have taught students of all ages and levels for 15+ years and I am passionate about helping students grow both musically and in technical proficiency through individualized learning plans. I believe in fostering critical thinking skills and teaching through encouragement and positivity.

Piano lessons

During my doctoral studies at the University of Southern California, I studied Piano Pedagogy as a minor field topic and was a member of the Music Teachers National Association. I have successfully prepared students for the ABRSM Piano Exams in the USA and Germany. I love teaching beginning piano students just as much as helping someone to prepare a full concert program.

I emphasize learning to read music in combination with music theory, ear training, and improvisation. I have students from age 5 to 75+. Your current age is the best age to start learning piano or to start taking lessons again!

Teaching fees

€35/30 minutes (incl. MwSt)

€65/60 minutes (incl. MwSt)

30-minute trial lesson for €20

I teach from my studio in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Lessons are offered in English and German.

vocal COACHING/REPERTOIRE PREPARATION

I also prepare vocalists (opera and musical theater) for auditions, orchestral performances, competitions, etc.
